Back Online At Last!!!

I know some of you thought I had hung it up for good but I stand before you today to say here I am!! I have managed to restore the site to most of what it had before the server crash September 6th, 2007 but unfortunately I had taken too much for granted and had not backed up the database since June of 2006. Thus all posts between those dates is lost forever and for this I do apologize.

I am not bothering to restore the downloads section at this time either. However if you need a file that I used to have there let me know and I'll re-upload it. Alas I am also not going to restore the AFFL, NTRL and WTF sub-sites either. If serious movement is made to revive those groups then I will set up a site for that league.

The TeamSpeak server is still going but at the moment I am not having any luck getting into the administration and data query control sections so cannot display its information on this site as I used to. Hopefully I will be able to get that feature back at some point. I will also look into getting the PacMan and other side games re-loaded since those were pretty popular.

Spread the word guys that The Gamers Hangout is back so that we can start organizing some gaming again!

LAN Party 2006 - Dallas, TX

LAN Party 2006 plans are underway. Details will be posted on this site and the official site at www.lanparty.thegamershangout.com. This year we'll be going to the Big D as in Dallas, TX. Exact date is not yet known but most likely will be the last weekend in April possibly mid-May. Discussion about what games to play is in the forums. I'll be working on sponsors again for prizes

AFFL Playoff Bracket Change

I had to make a change to the playoffs bracket. With no word from Wilson in about a month I forfeited his first round game which gives Billsfan51 a bye into round 2. The problem then arose that RC and Billsfan cannot play each other since neither can host due to college firewalls. Therefore I switched the Bills with the Broncos in the NTC portion of the bracket to avoid that problem unless both the Bears and Bills win in round 2 and meet in the championship. If this happens we will have to work out something in order to determine the winner.
